Introduction
I am Abolade Pelumi Olawuyi, and my journey began on the 7th of February 1997. As I navigate through life, I've encountered experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today.
Foundations of Education
My educational voyage commenced at the Young Tajudeen Primary School in Ara, setting the stage for my pursuit of knowledge. Progressing to secondary education, I initially attended Baptist Secondary Grammar School in Ara. Subsequently, I continued my academic journey at Ido-Osun High School, where I attained my secondary school leaving certificate in 2011. These early years marked the beginning of my journey towards academic excellence and personal growth.
Academic Triumphs and Discovering My Passion
Venturing into my collegiate years, I found my true calling in the field of Surveying and Geoinformatics. Despite initial setbacks, in January 2014, I embarked on a pivotal journey. My pursuit of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was diverted when I became acquainted with Surveying. Fueled by a newfound passion, I conquered the SSCE and UTME exams, and this triumph propelled me into the Department of Surveying and Geoinformatics at the School of Environmental Technology, Federal University of Technology, Akure. My dedication to this path culminated in a second-class degree, upper division.
Embarking on Professional Pathways
My journey evolved to embrace professional experiences that broadened my horizons. Fulfilling the mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps at the Federal School of Surveying, Oyo, I assumed the role of a Research and Teaching Assistant within the Surveying and Geoinformatics department.
Championing Environmental Transformation
My realm of interest centers on harnessing the potential of Remote Sensing and GIS applications in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering. This focus on Land Use, Groundwater, and Natural Resources underscores my commitment to contribute positively to our world.
Achievements and Contributions
In August 2022, I celebrated a significant milestone by publishing my maiden academic journal, "Flood Vulnerability Analysis of part of Akure using Multi-criteria Approach." This achievement underscores my dedication to advancing knowledge and fostering impactful insights.
Personal Milestones and Influences
My personal journey has been marked by challenges and triumphs. At a tender age, I faced the tragic loss of my father in a motor accident. Raised by my mother, Mrs. Adebimpe Sijuwade Olawuyi, a dedicated primary school teacher, I drew strength from her resilience.

I am fondly referred to as "POMA," a nickname that resonates with my spirit of camaraderie and vitality. Sporting enthusiasm and impassioned political dialogues are central to my identity.

Throughout my academic journey, I have embraced leadership roles with zeal. Serving as the General Secretary of my department in 2017/2018 and President in 2018/2019 during my tenure at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, highlighted my commitment to guiding and fostering growth.
Professional Ventures and Skills Attainment
My professional trajectory has encompassed diverse roles. Rig operator at BODMAN Drills, Osogbo, from August 2012 to March 2013, ignited my professional journey. An apprenticeship at GANIKOL Consults Osogbo from January 2014 to November 2015 enriched my understanding of surveying calculations and AutoCAD functions. Enrolling at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, in November 2015, I seamlessly interwove academic pursuits with practical experiences. A period of industrial experience at Geospatial Information Resource Limited in Osogbo equipped me with essential skills and even facilitated the acquisition of my first laptop.
Unwavering Dedication during Challenges
My journey during the COVID-19 pandemic exemplified resilience and innovation. Despite the upheaval, I remained committed to my church community and enrolled as a production engineer at FUTA Radio 93.1FM. Through various courses, I expanded my skill set, accumulating over 25 certificates, including those in GIS, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Python.
Recent Years and Professional Growth
Graduating from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, in August 2021, I embarked on new horizons. Working with LAMMAP Surveys and Consultants in Ibadan marked the next chapter, followed by my National Youth Service at the Federal School of Surveying, Oyo. Presently, I have found my stride as a software developer at Flexiblebase in Lagos, contributing my skills to innovative endeavors.

My narrative is one of transformation, persistence, and the pursuit of excellence. With each experience, I continue to evolve, contributing to academia, embracing leadership roles, and channeling my energy into meaningful endeavors.
